I’ve been attending the New America Foundation’s annual Board & Senior Staff retreat. (I forgot my camera. The beautiful image is from this Flickr photo set.)
I’ve been to various meetings at Airlie over the years and positively adore the Whistling Swan.
We’ve had interesting panels, including “American Foreign Policy After Bush” with Francis Fukuyama, Michael Lind, Walter Russel Mead and Anne-Marie Slaughter and “Dominoes: The Unintended Consequences of the Iraq War” with Peter Bergen, Anatol Lieven, Afshin Molavi and Nir Rosen.
Anyway, we are wrapping up today.
It’s Sunday. What does this have to do with George Tenet?
Funny you should mention that.
Peter Bergen, a New America fellow, was carrying around a copy of the Tenet memoir at the retreat.
We talked about some of the errors for a while and I observed that was in lieu of my Sunday Tenet blogging.
