Friends, I will be in London and Paris for the next two weeks, beginning with a display of the fine art of hotel expressionism showing at the Swissotel in London.
If any of you, dear readers, are available for a cocktail in London from 02 – 08 July, drop me an e-mail:

In the interim, I’ve lined up two fantastic guest bloggers for the next two weeks. I may, of course, drop in here or there just to rub it in.
First, you get Joe Cirincione, Senior Vice President for National Security and International Policy at the Center for American Progress. Prior to joining the Center, he was Director for Non-Proliferation at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, DC.
Next week, you get Matt Martin, program officer in Policy Analysis and Dialogue at the Stanley Foundation. In previous lives, Matt was a senior defense aide for former Senator Bob Kerrey and an Omaha scenester. Ask him about his Conor Oberst story.
I just spent a week with Joe and Matt in Sedona, Arizona at a Stanley Foundation conference on the nonproliferation regime, thinking big thoughts about putting out fires both real and metaphorical.
So, I know how lucky you are. Which is to say, not quite as lucky as I am. But close. Really.
