Jeffrey LewisLinzer on the Iranian Laptop

Dafna Linzer has a detailed account in the Post on the contents of that laptop.

I’ll try to write more this afternoon.

  1. Mark

This Linzer article is some of the most balanced and thoughtful reporting on the Iranian intelligence that I’ve seen in a while.

Raise your hand if you suspect that “Laptop” is really a CIA codename [see also: “Curveball”].

  2. AHM (History)

Good article. She calls the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps the “Iranian Republican Guard,” but besides that an interesting take.

The technical problems with their plans to weaponize are interesting.

I guess the crucial question is whether these are just ‘fantasy documents’ that a few individuals have come up with or whether they indicate a more systematic effort.
