Workshop on Technical Aspects of Space Security

The highlight of the Workshop on Technical Aspects of Space Security, so far, has been the tour of The Beijing Museum of Astronautics.

I have some great pictures of myself with China’s first ballistic missile (the 1059) and its first nuclear armed ballistic missile (the DF-2/CSS-1). Visitors can actually look inside the missiles – which was more interesting for the technical people in the group.

Tomorrow, we will visit the museum at the China Academy of Launch Technology. And some say there is no military transparency in China.
