Two years ago, this was the post that convinced me your blog was a must read. Keep up the good work and when that’s hard to do, Russian nuclear beauty pageants never fail!
Idaho Samizdat, a blog on nuclear energy, and Fuel Cycle Week, a nuclear industry trade publication, are sponsoring a slogan contenst for Ms Atom. The reason is western women are not allowed to enter the contest. Since we can’t submit an entry, we are submitting slogans.
Now the reason for this, in terms of history, is that the Soviets are very big on slogans, like “make more tractors for the five year plan,” and “deliver both a right and a left shoe the same size in every box.”
I voted for Юлия Берендакова, because I also like Oranges.
