The EU and China are finishing a summit meeting in The Hague. Most of the attention has focused on China’s efforts to lift a post-Tiananmen arms embargo. Xinhua has a very different emphasis, however, noting that the the summit has produced an EU-China Joint Declaration on Non-Proliferation and Arms Control.
Neither the European Union nor the Chinese Foreign Ministry has posted the full text of the agreement, but some basic information is available from the EU website devoted to the summit.
Update: The Joint Declaration is now available on the Chinese Foreign Ministry website.
Late Update for Archival Purposes: Zhang Qiyue answered a question about the Joint Declaration on December 13, 2004.
