Jeffrey LewisSig Harrison on North Korea: The Other Shoe

A careful reader observes that Selig Harrison’s article in Foreign Affairs was advertising for Ending the North Korea Nuclear Crisis, “the report of a high-level Task Force on U.S./Korea Policy [associated with the Center for International Policy] presenting important new recommendations for resolving the dispute over weapons between the United States and North Korea.”

Harrison, Director of CIP’s Asia program, chaired the Task Force.

The core of their argument is that the United States should emphasize ending North Korea’s plutonium program—hence the skepticism directed toward allegations that Pyongyang has a secret HEU program.

How have I never heard of CIP? And why are so many staff members
wearing denim jackets? What is this? A casting call for West Side Story?
