The Heritage Foundation is hosting a meeting about “Revitalizing the Iraqi Oil Industry: Implications for the World Oil Market.”
(Go visit the animals at the zoo. They have a small exhibit dedicated to Republicanus Moderatus, an endangered species these days. The paleontology section also has an especially comprehensive collection of Cold War Fossils).
Anyway, the meeting will address a number of questions, including: “How rapidly can Iraqi oil production be expanded? What are the implications for world oil prices and international energy security”
Not that the war was about oil or anything.
