CDI/’s Victoria Samson, who attended the gathering, noticed a mildly Orwellian editorial decision:
One part of the speech which somehow didn/’t make it to this transcript was when an audience member got up during the Q&A and asked Rumsfeld if he would be willing to comment on space-based missile defense. Rumsfeld/’s response? “(pause) No. Next question.”
Apparently, its bad form to show SECDEF behaving like a petulant child.
